Yes, she has her hard moments when she's upset and wishes that dad was home instead of me.  But the majority of the time she is truly my best companion and constant ally, stepping up to help me without being asked and oftentimes giving up what she wants to help her little brother be happy.  She is conscientious and concerned, always aware of what is right and a friend to all.  Her favorite thing is still the same - playing with my hair any chance she gets.  But a new recent favorite is singing while I play the piano.  I could hardly stand it when she started preschool a couple of months ago.  I'll admit, it has been nice to have some alone time to get things done while she's at school, but dropping her off for her first day was such a teary, bittersweet moment for me.  Luckily we still have our "girl time" - as she calls it - a couple times a week during little brother's nap.  It usually consists of sharing lunch (literally sharing -  she likes to eat off my plate better than hers), reading her favorite books, lying on the couch together watching Doc McStuffins or playing her Sofia the First board game.
